When Hello Means Goodbye
It’s always difficult to
lose something you can’t replace, and accept the fact that it’s probably gone
forever. It’s much like friends, they’re difficult to find and replace. One
small fight could immediately lead to a big one, resulting to a tragic end,
with no way out. You think everything would be fine, that it won’t affect you
at all, and that you don’t even care you lost them, but will you think the same
in 10 years time?
It’s true that friends
come and go, and it’s also true that true friends are hard to find, but
sometimes maybe change is good. It’s not so simple to move on from losing a
friend; the guilt, the desperation for forgiveness, and most of all, the small
seed of hatred growing inside you. Is it not enough to say “I’m sorry”?
Sometimes you think to yourself ‘Maybe I’m the one to blame or maybe we’re the
same, but either way it’s a shame that it had to be this way.’ You hate
yourself for letting it pass by, but can’t do anything. The worst part is that
no matter how much you tell yourself you’re wrong, it doesn’t make a
difference, if the person whom you’ve hurt hasn’t forgiven you, the guilt and
hatred continues to sprout inside you. Would you be better off just saying
‘Goodbye’?
